Cooper Portraits

A series of portraits drawn of my dog Cooper. These were drawn for my AP Art class during my senior year of high school. I revolved them around the things that he loves, including toys, laying on my bed, and sitting on the bench in my backyard. He has always been my muse and I wanted to capture that in my art. All of these art pieces were created entirely in colored pencil.

Inspiration

My dog loves many different things and I wanted to capture that within these pieces. He, of course, loves his family, including me and our other dog at the time, Josie. He especially loved cuddling and showing affection through licking hands, even if he might look silly. He absolutely loves his toys, which can be seen in four of these illustrations. Some of his favorite places to lay are on my bed, on top of laundry, on our backyard swing and on the wider steps on our staircase.
